Our Mission
We care—for those who care.
The LCG iCare Foundation exists to support our own network of dedicated caregivers and Support Central employees. Each day, we all share our passion for early education, often making personal sacrifices to prioritize the health, safety, and happiness of each child in our care. So, when one of our own is struggling, we respond with kindness, empathy, and compassion.
If personal hardship strikes, we help by providing resources and financial assistance to the best of our ability. It’s our way of honoring the commitment of our many team members to making a difference in the classroom and supporting our company’s overall mission to educate children and make a positive impact.
Our History and Purpose
Easing the burden during tough times.
Created in 2016, the LCG iCare Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports all Learning Care Group team members should they experience a personal crisis or tragic event.
Thanks to our generous donors, within the company and community, the foundation proudly provides short-term financial assistance available to our network of more than 20,000 LCG employees. This includes caregivers within our community of schools operating under 11 child care brands serving 150,000+ children nationwide, as well as Support Central staff at our headquarters in Novi, MI.
Specifically, the iCare Foundation provides grants ranging from $250 to $5,000, currently averaging about $2,000 per grant. The money helps employees navigate tough situations, including:
- Natural Disaster (flood, tornado, etc.)
- Fire
- Domestic Abuse
- Funeral Cost
- Death of an LCG Employee
- Potential Eviction or Foreclosure
As of March 2022, the LCG iCare Foundation has provided more than $450,000 in grants to almost 400 employees. The foundation also provides additional guidance and resources outside of qualifying grant opportunities that may help in other difficult circumstances, not listed above.
