The Lisa Miskimins Fund for Eviction Prevention was established in 2023 by the LCG iCare Foundation Board of Directors. This important fund, piloted in 2021 and made a permanent qualifying event in 2022, provides short-term emergency financial assistance for qualifying LCG employees whose residences are in eviction or foreclosure status. As of 2022 year-end, over 200 employees, and by extension their families and children, have been able to remain in their homes when circumstances may have otherwise left them homeless. Eviction prevention assistance is the most applied for qualifying event that the Foundation supports, accounting for over 50% of awarded funds.
About Lisa
Lisa Miskimins is a founding officer of the LCG iCare Foundation, which commenced in 2015. Beginning in 2016, she served as the Vice President for the Foundation and supported its framework, which included establishing grant areas, policies and bylaws, and achieving 501c3 nonprofit status. In 2020, Lisa was elected as iCare’s President and navigated the Foundation with compassion and grace through the COVID-19 pandemic, working diligently to address employees’ most basic needs during times of sickness, stress, and financial loss. She served as Board President for 3 successive years, reaching term limits at the end of 2022.
Lisa retired from LCG in early 2023 having supported the corporation and field operations for 40 years. She is enjoying time with family and friends, home improvement, and traveling.
